"Spring Forward"

It's hard to believe that we are in the third month of the new year. March is here and so many new things are happening all around us. I love this time of the year. The spring season is approaching and everything in the earth is being renewed. The winter season has been hard and cold like the soil beneath our feet. The winter allows animals to rest and sleep while nature transcends into a time of dormancy. However this does not mean that nothing is happening. This is a time of preparation for what is to come. Nature retreats beneath the earth out of sight to the natural eye; yet God is still moving and transforming in the darkness. Something is taking place under the soil. There is a process of shedding away what is no longer needed or serving a purpose in nature so that new growth may emerge for the next season. God allows man to endure the same process in our spiritual lives through pruning or the elimination of things in our lives which no longer serve us. He is in the process of making all things new again as with the dawning of each new day. The passage of scripture in Isaiah 43:19 states "See I am doing a new thing". Let Holy Spirit transform every area of your life even if it is painful and difficult at times. He knows what we need and what is necessary for new growth to occur in our lives. You may have had a hard winter season. It may have appeared to be dark for a lengthy period of time due to tests and life challenges. However this process has been part of your transformation into the new season that is approaching. God is shifting the soil that you have been immersed in. He is breaking ground in your life as we speak and soon you will begin to see glimmers of light and hope from the place in the earth where you have been planted. You are being rooted and secured. He is nourishing you with His grace and love. The sun is shining and you will emerge! You will spring forward in this new season with power and the tenacity necessary for the journey ahead. I see you bursting forth from beneath the soil, springing up like a new flower ready to spread its leaves and bloom. You will look back in this next season and realize it was worth it. It was necessary for where God is leading you. Remember: the kingdom is within YOU!
