What season of life are you currently in? God created nature and the four seasons that occur in sequence. The seasons of spring, summer, fall and winter are each characterized by a myriad of physical changes that happen before and during each new cycle. We see the trees begin to bud new leaves in the spring season signaling the onset of renewal. The summer brings forth new blossoms and flowers burst forth after a long winters nap. The new blooms and leaves are on display for the summer extending their beauty for all of the world to admire and look upon. The autumn season brings about a change for all of nature as the flowers and trees begin to lose their green color and leaves fall away preparing for the next season. All the while the earth beneath is preparing to receive the seeds and leaves that have fallen away. A time for things to be buried beneath the earth for a process of regeneration and growth. A time of quiet restoration begins. You can't see it but it is happening; in the dark buried beneath the earths surface. God also created man to undergo changes in life that mirror the seasons of nature. Look at your life and ask Holy Spirit to show you the current season you are in. Sit in His presence and listen for instructions. He will speak and illuminate your path. When we are not in tune with God's voice we cannot hear His directions. God may be guiding you into a new season but we are content being planted right where we are not recognizing the time for change. Gideon was a man on a mission for the Lord. He had a large army. He thought he had everything he needed to win the battle. God spoke to him and told him to decrease the number of men in his army. Gideon didn't understand what God was doing. Who would reduce the size of an army in a great battle? When it was all said and done, Gideon only had 300 men left. He was unsure but he went forth and God gave him the victory with those 300 men. Don't be afraid to trust God when He leads you into a new season. He is with you! He knows whats best for us and He knows when its time for a new season in your life. Each new season requires a new mindset; a new level of faith and a willingness to go beyond the places you have already been. Embrace your new season and move forward in a posture of victory! Remember the kingdom is within YOU!
